Sue Sabo

Welcome to my website!  Let me tell you a little about myself.  I started Real Estate in Calgary in 2005 (RLP Benchmark) and then in late 2006 moved to Vancouver Island.  I was re licensed in BC in March 2007 and started here with Royal LePage Nanaimo Realty and I’ve never looked back. I love living here.

I love the lifestyle that Vancouver Island affords- from skiing to swimming to hiking to mountain biking not to mention all the other water activities- there’s never a dull moment.  The Island is a wonderful place to call home – especially for anyone who loves the outdoors.  There is plenty of it!

I entered Real Estate as I have always enjoyed working with people above all else.  After I graduated from University (B of Management, marketing). I spent a few years with CP Rail doing customer service, strategic business planning and then ended with a marketing job in Pulp and Paper overseeing the Western Canada Pulp and Paper Market.  From there, my husband and I went to Japan (Tokyo) and taught for over 6 years.  I found working with people of all ages and teaching them was a natural fit to my personality.

I love working with people and helping them find the perfect place to call home!  I also love working with sellers assisting them re-design life and its many choices to best meet their current needs.

Having grown up in the building industry working in residential real estate was a natural progression. I have helped everyone from first time home buyers to investors to retirees to sophisticated buyers in this process.  I love to sit down and teach you the ABCs of real estate from understanding what is happening in the local real estate market; to reviewing contracts and what they look like and what to expect in one; and the steps required once you have an offer in on a property.  If you haven’t bought or sold a home ever or not for a very long time, this process is invaluable.  Real Estate changes constantly and government & industry requirements continue to morph and change which means it’s an ever-changing sector with lots to learn and share.  There is never a dumb question so please feel like we can sit and chat and determine what will work best for you.  I’m happy to answer the questions in whatever order that they come.

I work in all types of properties- from single family homes to acreages to strata properties to manufactured homes to lots. I primarily service the Central Vancouver Island areas between Qualicum Beach/Parksville, Nanoose Bay, Lantzville/Nanaimo, Ladysmith/Chemainus/Saltair areas. I also service Nanaimo’s Protection and Gabriola Islands.  The Central Vancouver Island areas are vibrant and happening places – Nanaimo serves as the hub to many Central Island communities so you can find most everything here.  My office is in Nanaimo but we will explore the areas that you are interested in.  For those of you that are interested in both say Nanaimo and Courteney, I am happy to refer you to someone in the Courteney area for example who can better know the intricacies of that market inventory better serving your needs.

I truly look forward to meeting you!  I love where I live and I want the same for you.  Love where you live is my motto as I think its important to one’s overall happiness and sense of peace.  The island is truly a place of awe and wonder and it will never cease to amaze you.  I’m confident of that!  Welcome to the Island- I look forward to meeting you soon.
